Up to Bat

It’s time to run the bases. With the bat. 4 times.  All this to complete a solo grand slam. In other words, I’m going to attempt the fastest mile run with a baseball bat balanced on a single finger to break my 38th Guinness World Record.

The mark to beat is 7 minutes 5 seconds.

It will require running 4 laps plus 9 meters around the Boise High School track at 3:30 PM on Thursday, March 1st. If the bat falls off my finger, touches any other part of my body, or comes in contact with anything except the air the attempt is immediately over and disqualified. I give a short talk to the Boise High School track team before they cheer me on in this endeavor.

This will be complicated by the 23 MPH forecast winds and *light* rain forecast at the time (the snow is supposed to have ended by then.

Thanks to Jake at the Boise Hawks for providing a (Guinness) suitable bat that has also been used in professional games!
